Hi! I’m Jennifer.

I help small businesses and wedding pros with real-world, actionable solutions to grow their brands with purpose!

Everybody has their sweet spot and here’s mine: the intersection of branding and customer experience to propel brands to the next level.

If you’re looking to cut through the clutter of ‘gurus’ and work with proven strategies and processes to scale your brand with confidence, then you’re in the right place!

I help you put all the pieces together.

As cliche as it may sound, the top two things I hear from my clients are…

“How can I take my brand to the next level?”

“I know what kind of brand I want.  I can see it in my head, but I just don’t know how to get there.”

Like most solopreneurs, we’ve all made at least one logo (bonus points if it was in Word), pulled our hair out writing website copy, or struggled to learn new social media and keep it well-fed with engaging content.

We’ve ALL been there, and we’ve ALL tried to find solutions to each of those individual problems.  Therein lies the problem.

Branding, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience are not isolated silos that stand alone.  They all relate to each other much like that of a stool.  If one leg falters, they all do!

Your business won’t grow and prosper when your message is confusing, experiences are inconsistent, and marketing pieces are haphazardly made with no real plan in mind.

That’s where my holistic approach comes in.  I help you put ALL the puzzle pieces together to efficiently and successfully elevate your brand.

'“I was definitely stuck in a rut that I didn’t quite know how to get out of.  As an experienced wedding makeup and hairstylist, I knew I did good work, had happy clients, and was growing each year.  BUT, I wasn’t getting the weddings/clients that I really wanted, I was embarrassed by my website and social media, and knew I wasn’t growing as effectively as I could.  It was all starting to feel like a jumbled mess.

Thankfully, Jennifer was referred to me by a florist friend.  During our first call, I could literally start to see the clouds part!  I felt like I found someone who knew my industry, and more importantly what steps I needed to do to reach my goals.

I hired Jennifer for coaching and she laid out a plan to clarify my messaging, improve the quality of my branding content, build my reputation & network with vendors who could refer me the caliber of weddings I wanted, and so much more.  After a few months of coaching, I could see how all this was working and moving me in the right direction.

I then hired Jennifer for a full re-brand, new website, and social media management.  I mean, why was I stressing myself out about all this stuff when it was obvious she knew my brand better than I did lol.  I count my lucky stars because my business has evolved so much!  I have no idea where I’d be today without Jennifer.”

I’m not your typical brand consultant.

You’re not going to find me posting a million ‘all about me’ selfies and posts or creating ‘Google Earth’ overviews when you really need step-by-step directions.

This is your business, your reputation, and real financial outcomes are at stake.   And while I’m a good cheerleader for you, I’m more like the coach who maps out game-winning strategies, gives you drills to run, and the training to win on your own.

Here’s my evolution as a business owner and wedding industry pro. HINT: It means I’ve got decades of experience and a proven track record ;-)

  • I built my own highly awarded high-end wedding photography studio.  It’s actually how I got into the wedding industry in 1997.  What started as a part-time job to get through my last semester of college, sparked a passion for the wedding and event industry that still fuels me today.  During my time here, I quadrupled the studio’s gross, went from photographing 25 weddings per year to 100+ weddings per year with a second team, and became the highest awarded female wedding photographer in the history of PPA.

  • I’ve been a speaker and coach for over 15 years. As a photographer & business owner, I became very involved in national photography associations like PPA and WPPI.  That’s when I realized how much I loved helping photographers grow their businesses.  I never taught photography classes; I exclusively taught sales and marketing for wedding photographers.

  • Corporate consulting grew out of speaking.  I had spent enough time on the speaking circuit with stellar reviews, that national photographic corporations started asking me for help.  From photo labs to the colossal LifeTouch, I learned about ideation among departments, problem-solving, and implementing solutions on a large scale.  If you’re a glutton for punishment, you can read all this on my LinkedIn page too ;-)

  • In 2013, I started the steps to shut down my wedding photography studio. After 17 years as a wedding photographer (25 for my partner), we both knew it was time to move on to new projects.  It took months of agonizing and working through feelings of burnout and walking away from something you spent two decades building.  Because weddings book so far in advance, it took us 2.5 years to fulfill contracts with our booked brides. We got to end on a high note photographing some of our favorite longtime clients, and their albums later went on to win national awards and were published!

  • I got my job as Director of Marketing for a multi-million dollar B2B and B2C Event Rental Company at a networking cocktail party.  As I chatted with the owner about winding down my studio he said, “Can you start Monday?” before I had even finished my sentence. This was the best blessing as it really exposed me to the behind-the-scenes workings of rental companies, caterers, venues, florists, and bridal shows.  The same vendors I knew as a photographer, were now my customers and I got to learn their businesses inside and out.  Truly invaluable!

  • Speaking, Coaching & Consulting Round Two: I was still able to be a speaker, but this time around I was helping Caterers, Wedding Planners, Venue Owners, and Florists work through their messaging and branding woes.  Word soon spread again that I deliver empowering actionable content and The Knot asked me to be a Brand Ambassador in 2018, and a Knot Pro Educator in 2019.

  • In 2017, I started Flourish&Co Consulting. Over the years, I had started getting more and more requests from small businesses and vendor friends to help them with social media, branding, websites, marketing pieces…you name it. I couldn’t keep up with being a full-time Director of Marketing and helping others.  I was at a crossroads. Thankfully, with a supportive husband and friendors, I made the leap back to being a business owner again in January 2019!  I thought it would be a slow start, but I hit the ground running with several big clients even with pandemic shutdowns and turmoil.

  • My goal now is to teach you how to clarify your message and stand out with a brand that boosts your bottom line. The Brand Accelerator Masterclass shows you step-by-step how to implement everything I’ve used to build my own successful wedding company and empower dozens of others to grow into the brands they were meant to be. Real, applicable solutions are here. Are you ready for it?
